The Daffodil began life as Cheltenham’s first purpose built picture palace. With its contemporary Art Deco style and exuberant individuality The Daffodil was a hit. This cinema introduced the country’s first ‘kissing seats’. These ingenious double seats, situated on the end of each isle, were specifically designed for courting couples and could be reserved in advance which needless to say proved extremely popular!
Now converted into a restaurant and bar The Daffodil has been described by a national newspaper journalist as being one of the UK’s most dramatic dining rooms. The ambience, the setting and the service combined with the award-winning food makes The Daffodil the perfect venue.
Monday nights and Saturday lunchtimes feature live jazz at The Daffodil with some of the best jazz artists from across the UK, they promise a mixture of wonderful food and top class entertainment. Artists who have taken to the stage have included Jamie Cullum, Kyle Eastwood plus many others.
For those guests who would prefer to simply relax in the bar and listen to the live jazz, we have introduced Martini Mondays. Every week they serve
a special Martini created by their in-house mixologist.
Its a wonderWonderfully thought out decor – an old 1920’s cinema, the chefs are on the stage cooking, so you can watch them, wonderfully thought out food.
