The Boat House at Middleton Hall
I am so bought in with this place I think I am in love! I want it all and I want it now (could be the words to a song I think). Seriously there is so much to offer both in and around this quirky retreat.
When I first saw this venue I thought of Swallows and Amazons…and Robinson Crusoe ..and the Secret Seven books by Enid Blyton I read when I was a kid. Its just up Qwerky Places street. Who wouldn’t want to stay at this fabulous Boat House?
There is so much to say about this place. Firstly it’s in the grounds of a very old stately home that offers luxury accommodation. The website tells of the decline of the estate and then tells of the adventure the new owners have embarked on to make Middleton Hall a destination venue.
Luxury is NOT what Qwerky Places are about. Quirky is what we are about!
The manmade lakes have been made superbly interesting with the addition of this fabulous boat house. Idyllic or what? When you stay at the Boathouse they even give you a flat bottomed boat (with oars) to use for the duration of your stay.
Apparently they have Otters here too. It can’t get any better for me….or can it. The views are spectacular, the surroundings are romantic with the boat house hidden within trees….the décor and layout of the boat house is modern AND you even get free WiFi.
I can’t find a reason not to stay here. I think it’s got just the right amount of………everything. The only thing that is missing is me. Please can we go Mr Q?? Make it soon, please xx
