This little coffee shop has a strong identity. A visit here will make you feel as though you’re part of a community, even if you are only passing through.
People can often be found queuing outside for a table and when you get your table you will often find you have to share with other people. As such you find yourself talking to the other guests. I love how “Can you pass the sugar please” leads to a cheery conversation. The nice thing about it, is that there is no feeling of being rushed out. You can grab a paper and sit with your coffee for, it would seem, as long as you like. After leaving the cafe we also have found other diners are also browsing the shops and exchanging a cheery word or two during the time outside of the cafe too.
If the weather is good then taking a seat outside is delightful, especially as your dog can join you too.
The cakes, pies and quiches seem to always be different. Not a problem for us as we have bought loads and every one have been delicious.
So is the Pig and Pastry QWerky? A little we think…but due to its place on Bishy Road….then the quirky factor pumps right up.
Go enjoy the Pig and Pastry. Go enjoy all that is Bishy Road. We love Bishy Road.
