Langley Oast, Maidstone

Langley Oast
Built in 1873, this wondefully quirky building with a pratical use is adorable
I do love Oasts. There are not many in the country and It wasn't too many years ago I came across them. I thought they must be modern as they construction is so bizarre and unique and it still amazes me today to think in the days where we had no technology to assist they built such amazing buildings

Profile Description

Langley Oast a working farm until 1985 then it was converted into homes. Who wouldn’t love to live here? To be fair its also going to be a lovely place to stay with the rounded rooms being the main draw for me. The thought of my builders face when I asked him if I could have a wall at an angle! Imagine how he would have felt if I had asked for a tower.

Originally built for a brewers called Fremlins back in 1873 Langley Oast has been bought right up to date with all mod cons available. There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of the original features but without too much effort you can imagine all the farm equipment and brewery machinery in this quirky bed and breakfast.

If you like the Langley Oast please consider giving it a quirky rating on QWerkyness.com.
