Mr Q and I have stayed at this fabulously quirky and unique hotel, Crab Manor. The first dilemma was which room should we stay in. We chose to stay in two different rooms for our 2 night break – Raffles, Singapore and Mount Nelson, Cape Town.
The Crab Manor hotel did not disappoint at all. I loved the Sauna in Raffles….10 minutes in there and I felt as hot and sweaty as I think I would be in the real Singapore. My face was bright red and my hair was a little bit fluffy. That’s just like my holidays in hot countries.
As we went with friends we got to see their rooms too. I loved having a good nosy around their rooms and they loved exploring ours – conclusion for me was I need to go to Bora Bora, Tahiti and Mr Q wanted to stay in the Bardola Lodge, Norway. Having friends there meant we got to enjoy the communal hot tub with them, its was particularly fun as it was in the garden and it was snowing. There is a communal Sauna too.
This hotel is full of little QWerkys. To be fair Mr Q wanted to “go eat” and I took forever to get anywhere as I had to stop and look at or read everything. At times Mr Q really nags!
The Hotel has a wonderful restaurant associated with it.. Breakfast was served to us in the hotel conservatory (FULL cooked breakfast and it was blooming lovely – but this is not a website to review food so I guess I shall shut up and keep my thoughts to myself – problem is just thinking about it has made me hungry) but we were booked into the equally interesting a quirky Crab and Lobster pub and restaurant for our evening meal. I loved the Ladies toilets here (am I the only person in the world who visits the toilets to see how amazing they can be wherever I go?)
In each of the 17 rooms there is an abundance of beautiful artefact’s and antiques are all beautifully located either in the 18th Century Georgian Manor, the tranquil thatched lodge, or the Scandinavian pine cabins.
We liked the Crab Manor Passport. It is a way of them rewarding loyal guests. Each time you stay, your very own Crab Manor Passport will be stamped at departure, as your stamps accumulate your journey will be rewarded with gifts that include a complimentary bottle of champagne to a complimentary overnight stay.
Once you have stayed in all of the seventeen world famous rooms and have a full passport, you will then be entered into their prize draw, giving you the chance to win a stay in one of the original hotels from Cipriani Palace in Venice to Raffles in Singapore.
Sounds perfect doesn’t it?
