The building looks magical and from the road looks quite small however when you get to the building it is a huge building with wonderful views. Inside there are tapestries, chandeliers and painted wooden vaults which add to the grandeur and plutocratic opulence. In hotel terms, this is the kind of late-Victorian pseudo-Gothic magnificence that can either strike a spooky chill to the heart, or hold out the promise of warmth and welcome.
